Brac Island (protected landscape)
DAY01 We start from Supetar and go across Mirca through the olive orchards towards the Franz Joseph's bridge or the Cave Kopacina and stone in a shape of bridge Kolač near village of D.Humac. We also visit the church of St. John and Paul in Ložišća, which famous bell tower is a work of a great Croatian sculptor Ivan Rendić.
After refilling our water supplies we trek towards the Blaca Hermitage, which is cut into a cliff. The monastery is now a museum, and after we have seen the exhibits we will spend the night inside of it. The braver ones can go for a night swim at the Blaca lagoon which is only 20 minutes walk away.
DAY02 In the morning, after breakfast we go towards the top of the island by the goat paths through macchia and black pine forest. On the way we come across old shepherd's settlement Gažul where we have our lunch and take a break (here you can try traditional barbecued lamb). We go on through Trolovke and end up at the highest peak of the island of Brač and all the Adriatic islands, Vidova Gora where you can enjoy a wonderful view of Zaltni rat and the island o fHvar, along the mountains of Bikovo and Mosor. There we will have dinner by the fire and sleep under the open sky.
DAY03 In the morning we slowly proceed with our tour through amazing Zmajeva spilja (Dragon's cave) where you can see the reliefs from the cave life of Glagolitic priests in the 15th century. A rare example of Croatian Glagolitic incunabula (first printed book) of the missals from the year 1483, now placed in Dominican museum in Bol, comes from these caves. In the afternoon we come down to Bol or Murvica where we swim, sunbath and have a dinner in a restaurant.
